I Could Have Raised the Walls But I'm Out of Bricks

How many more shots of you will I need to drink before I am drunk enough
To stagger from side to side and crumble in  a heap by the sidewalk of love?
Tell me, when this tipsy-ness would mature into a war in my bowels
And make me puke all the hurt and hate in the depths my soul

Will I stare long enough at your curly hair
Before the walls around my heart
Melt like candle wax and erode the memory of the man
Who planted tears in my eyes and left shrieks on my lips?

I have tasted the sweetness of your soft
I have read the love notes in your eyes
But why is it written in the handwriting of my ex?
